Friends! The Musical Parody Uniondale Theatre reviews
El Sol is eclipsed
"15 years of going to his concerts and enjoying a great artist is now over. What was he doing between songs when the lights would go off? This imposter obviously did not prepare or rehearse. Even my wife who is his number one fan said she would never go again. The real Luismi is a total professional who puts on impeccably rehearsed performances. It was strange. El Sol de Mexico is now a shadow of his former self. That was not Friends The Musical Parody, aliens must have taken his body and left behind a bad copy. She has too many great memories of him when he was at his consummate best. He may need an intervention. Adios and thanks for the memories. This fake used a teleprompter because he couldn't remember the words to the songs. He has never taken such frequent breaks between songs. It was sad really."
Fan Blitz
"Ok so for me, this event was awesome despite not having much excitement for most people. I have never seen Friends The Musical Parody play anywhere except on tv. However, I would like to, but just cannot afford the tickets.
When I walked out into the stands and looked around at the stadium, I was awe struck. It looks so much better in person than on tv, and I always thought it looked fantastic on tv. I was like a 35 year old kid seeing a movie star for the first time. I have many photos I took, and I will be able to watch the games on tv and say I was there, I sat there, I seen that, I had food from there.
I would so totally travel to it again next year. It was great! I am a single mom, and it was something that I could afford to take my daughter to that didn't really break the bank for me, and it was exciting. Go STEELERS!!!! All of you are just awesome, that includes #7."
Very disappointing
Friends The Musical Parody was excellent creating hype and setting the stage for DJ Khaled. The problem is that DJ Khaled was 2 hours late! She dances a lot less these days and looks tired. The time between the acts lost the attendees momentum. I feel sorry for the people with floor seats. Definitely not what you expect for $400+ on tickets. Friends The Musical Parody herself was underwhelming which pains me to say. The walk out part of stage was on 1 side (which wasn't depicted in the diagram) and that's where she stayed most of the night causing 2/3 of the crowd to not be able to see her well. So not worth it. I won't be seeing her again unless I can get cheap tickets.
Maiden still rules the world
I can't wait for the next show. It was a nice change to hear some of their newer material. Some highlights for me were Blood Brothers (dedicated to Ronnie James Dio), Dance of Death, and El Dorado. Tons of high energy with no signs of slowing down, the show was awesome. Adrian, Janic, and Dave Murray are amazing guitarists. They played 6 of their older tunes this time around, which was cool. Bruce didn't stop running around the stage all night long. Two years ago for the Somewhere Back in Time tour, they played their classics. Steve and Nikko make up one of the best tightest rhythm sections around.
